Swan Earthmovers has assembled a unique team, with strength of character, long term experience and solid business skills.
Operations Manager
Jack is a local to the Coorong region, and started his career with the Swan Group at Swan Brothers.
Initially, Jack started as a plant operator, handling fertiliser trucks and spreading units.
​
Proving his knowledge, dedication and leadership in this role and showcasing his machinery skills, he then got promoted to Production Manager for Swan Earthmovers.
​
Jack is responsible for maintaining and coordinating operations at the quarries, on job sites and provides leadership to the operations crew.
​
Jack is your first point of contact for project enquiries and availability.
Business Manager
Narelle is a busy mother of four and lives locally in Meningie, SA. Narelle and her husband owned their own fencing business for fifteen (15) years prior to her employment at Swan Earthmovers. She also ran her own Family Day Care business from home for three (3) years before starting her employment with Swan Earthmovers.
​
Narelle is responsible for finance, business operations support, record keeping and quality management for Swan Earthmovers.
​
Narelle is extremely organised, professional and will help you with all your general earthmoving enquiries.
Training and Development Manager
Bob has a forty-year career in agribusiness and earthmoving.
Most recently, Bob was employed by Bettsco Earthmovers as their Manager.
​
Bob is a skilled plant operator and manager of resources, and he supported a successful ownership transition to Swan Earthmovers.
​
These days Bob is responsible for operations, people, and logistics at Swan Earthmovers.
Maintenance Manager
Brad is qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, having undertaken his apprenticeship in his thirties.
And, Brad has more than ten (10) years’ work experience on heavy vehicles and crushing plant and equipment.
​
Brad is responsible for fleet maintenance and repairs at Swan Earthmovers and works across the Swan Group to deliver strategic maintenance management across the fleet.
Plant Operator & Team Leader
Justin Brooks
Justin is one of the youngest and most skilled Plant Operators!
​
Justin has been with Swan Earthmovers since 2021, and he has already attained his Heavy Combination (HC) Licence.
​
Justin continues to build on his earthmoving skills, currently being declared competent on both excavators and loaders.
​
Justin has recently been promoted to Team Leader and is responsible for leadership at a job site.
Plant Operator
Graham Thompson
Graham is a seasoned operator in the earthmoving industry, having worked across a range of Bettsco quarries and Council pits in previous years.
​
Graham has a strong understanding of machinery and is a versatile operator with both transport and crushing plant.
Plant Operator
Josh Griggs
Josh is another experienced plant operator currently working out at Chapmans Pit.
​
Josh previously worked for the Meningie RAA and is a born and bred local.
He has been in the earthmoving game on and off for ten (10) years.
​
Josh brings strong local knowledge to the team.
Plant Operator
Merv Clark
Merv is another one of our experienced Plant Operators. Merv has been in the industry for over thirty years, employed with Swan Earthmovers for the past three years.
​
Merv’s Plant Operation skills are outstanding; he has a great analytical mind and is keen to get the job done.
​
Merv also has strong knowledge of the area as he has been in the region for most of his life, occasionally doing long stints up to the top of Australia.
Plant Operator
Bruce Ordway
Bruce Ordway is our expert Dozer operator. With a lifetime of experience behind the controls of earthmoving equipment, Bruce is our go-to expert when it comes to operating the dozer.
​
His journey began at the young age of 7, when he first operated a crawler tractor, and he's been mastering operating machinery ever since.
​
Since joining us in September 2023, Bruce has been an invaluable member of the team, not only handling the dozer with precision but also stepping in other machines when needed.
​
Bruce is an expert when it comes to the dozer and there’s no doubt he knows about every aspect of dozers inside and out.
Plant Operator
Hunter Smith
Hunter Joined the team in 2023, with a background as a qualified butcher, Hunter brings a unique perspective to the world of earthmoving.
​
Being no stranger to heavy vehicles, Hunter grew up around his family transport business and is pretty hand with a spanner.
​
Currently, Hunter is focusing on expanding his skills by learning to operate various plant equipment.
Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Jayden Jolly
Jayden began his apprenticeship in January 2024, doing a certificate lll in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (Diesel Mechanic).
​
This apprenticeship is designed to provide Jayden with a comprehensive understanding of servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy commercial vehicles.
​
Growing up with a family heavily involved in farming and earthworks, Jayden brings a natural understanding of this environment.

Group Services Manager
Luke Medlow
Luke Medlow, is the Group Services Manager for the Swan Group.
​
With seven years of invaluable experience, Luke plays a vital role in coordinating, delivering, and supporting various business, IT, and finance operations across the group.
​
Whether it's providing project support, troubleshooting IT issues, or financial management, Luke is the go-to guy for ensuring smooth operations and assisting wherever needed.
​
His dedication and expertise make him an indispensable asset to the Swan Group.
​
Beyond the office, you'll find Luke enjoying sports, hitting the football field, or unwinding on camping adventures.
Plant Operator
Bob Simcock
Bob is a farmer with an extensive heavy plant and machinery equipment background.
​
Self-employed most of his adult life, Bob brings a strong understanding of truck and loader operation to the team.
​
Bob’s main role at Swan Earthmovers is carting and heavy haulage.
Digital Marketing Manager
Mia joined Swan Earthmovers in 2023, she works across the Swan Group as the Digital Marketing Manager.
​
With a diverse background in childcare and the outback Mia brings a different perspective to our team. At Earthmovers Mia supports the team to create and deliver marketing strategies.
​
Mia together with her partner recently welcomed their first child Sidney.
​
You’ll often see Mia out and about taking photos/videos for content for the monthly newsletters, blogs and social media.
Director
Craig has a thirty-year career in agribusiness contracting.
​
Qualified as a diesel mechanic, Craig has worked in the mining and auto service industry sectors before joining the Swan Brothers family business as first an employee, and later a partner.
​
In addition to his trade qualifications, Craig has formal qualifications in leadership and governance and is Governor’s Leadership Foundation graduate.
​
Craig is responsible for strategy, direction, and resourcing of Swan Earthmovers.
Director
Kerry has a thirty-year career in management.
Kerry previously worked for the South Australian Government as a Project Manager and was later employed in regional development.
​
Kerry holds formal qualifications in project management, management, coaching and real estate.
​
Kerry is responsible for business development and innovation at Swan Earthmovers.
