Pugged material is pavement gravel that’s been blended with water to reach Optimum Moisture Content (OMC) — the ideal level of moisture for compaction. Pre-conditioning the material ensures faster, more consistent compaction and minimises dust on site.

What is Pugged Material?

Pugging is the process of mixing water evenly through crushed rock using our Terex Tracked Pugmill. This creates a ready-to-use product that compacts quickly and cleanly — particularly useful in dry or dusty conditions, or where machine time and water access are limited.

 

We offer pugging across a range of our products, including Pavement Materials and Aggregates.
